The World Kite Museum & Hall of Fame’s purpose is about education. The Museum presents specialized opportunities for groups to participate. Some amount to a discount because of the larger numbers. Others focus on a special aspect of kites that are of interest. Below is a description of options. For information on these field trips contact Ray Buesing at (360) 642-4020 or email Kay. School Programs Each year the Museum prepares several educational programs to help school classes meet educational goals. Informal Tours To get informal tour admission discounts, a minimum of ten people is required. These may come all at once or separately. We do require that they come to the Museum during a three-hour time frame on a specified day. This does not include a guided tour, but you get all the services available to regular admissions such as kite making, handouts, and hands on experiences, etc. Admission is $1.00 off regular admission and scheduling is easy. Formal Tours The more formal tours need to be scheduled farther ahead and require communication and planning. They can include a more in-depth introductory presentation, of special type of kite focus and/or special kite making. Members of these groups come to the Museum all at the same time. The time and cost is determined by the needs of the group. Types of Previous Groups
